San Pedro de Atacama

Tuesday 30 August 2016

The landscape changed as we came into San Pedro de Atacama and as we climbed higher into the Andes it become more dramatic.

Our first stop for late afternoon was the famous Valle de la Luna. This was an eroded landscape that, as the name suggests, is probably as close as you would get to a lunar surface on earth. We got there right on sunset which made it look even more surreal.
